Message from Fire Chief Mark Sinclair

Late Spring 2012.

While the fire bans have been lifted in both the R.M. of Alexander and the R.M. of St. Clements, please exercise caution when starting any outdoor fire.

Both rural municipalities now have by-laws in place governing outdoor fires, and links to those by-laws are provided on our Home and Frequently Asked Questions pages for your convenience.

Please be reminded that outdoor fires started in order to clear land, burn debris, crops, or stubble still require a burning permit in most of East Beaches Fire & Rescue's response area.  Contact your local Manitoba Conservation office for more information and the required permit.

With summer just around the corner, traffic volumes on area highways and roads will soon become heavier.  Please be patient and courteous towards your fellow motorists so that everyone arrives at the cottage or beach safely!

Our Open House will be held on Saturday, July 14th, this year, and I hope you, your family and friends will be able to pay us a visit.  Our new rescue boat will be on display, and the open house will feature the always popular silent auction and other draws!  Doors will open at 10 am.
